Montana TU is first and foremost a people organization. Achieving our mission requires engaged members, supporters and partners. We strive to improve and protect the values the public treasurers about rivers and trout. We protect these values by:
- Filing a crucial legal brief arguing strongly for the public’s stream-access rights in a critical case before the Montana Supreme Court.
- Partnering with a local land trust and employing volunteers to clean up and restore habitat on a key tract at the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River.
- Regularly rallying TU members to remind the Montana Legislature, U.S. Congress and public agencies to ensure their policies and management decisions protect water and trout.
- Helping create the next generation of trout advocates by sponsoring an annual kids fly-fishing and conservation camp at Georgetown Lake.
