Midges hatch nearly every ice-free day of the year on our rivers. These tiny insects from the genus Diptera (two winged flies) have incredible adaptations for the cold, but their summer cousins aren’t always so small, as still water anglers know! Anybody out there trying the 12 month dry fly challenge for 2023?
