The Department of Environmental Quality is hosting four public meetings for the scoping phase of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Smith mine. We need everyone who cares about the the Smith River watershed to attend these hearings and let your voices be heard. The hearing schedule as of now is:
Great Falls Civic Center, Oct. 30, 6 to 9 p.m.
White Sulphur Springs High School gym, Nov. 1, 6 to 9 p.m.
Radisson Colonial Hotel, 2301 Colonial Drive in Helena on Monday, Nov. 6 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Park County High School gym, Livingston, Nov. 7, 6 to 9 p.m
